Booth design by Design Knowhow

Appoint a Captain; someone on-site with authority to make sure personnel meet the objectives that have been set.

Since over 60% of literature dispensed is thrown away, you may consider offering to mail product information.  Your literature will have far more impact if it lands on a prospect’s desk immediately afterward.

Here are some basic rules to follow when in the booth:

Do:

  • Smile
  • Relax
  • Make eye contact
  • Use firm handshake
  • Rehearse opening line
  • Ask open ended questions
  • Look for buying signals
  • Be a good listener and observant
  • Be positive
  • Remember your objectives

Don’t:

  • Fold your arms
  • Ignore or neglect a visitor
  • Spend too much time with any one visitor
  • Drink or eat (unless entertaining)
  • Smoke
  • Take cell phone calls
